preEvaluate

public Expression preEvaluate(ExpressionVisitor visitor)
                       throws XPathException

Pre-evaluate a function at compile time. Static evaluation is suppressed for saxon:parse because no controller is available.

the result of the early evaluation, or the original expression, or potentially a simplified expression
